I've improved on several areas on this one. But, by no means is this a Heshtone,Poling,Presnal...or countless other pieces of artistry we've seen here on the OLF. However,not to toot my own horn, I'm very pleased with the sound of this guitar. I've tried to upload a mp3, but it's always too large. No plans,I drew it up using some ideas from the OLF. It's myrtle with Shane's Lutz top and I tried my hand at purfling on the top this time. The neck angle and playablity is a whole lot better.I french polished it and then did a stupid thing, I brushed on clear poly to help protect it.
I used rotten stone and buffed it out,it helped quite a bit. I think I'm going to try a 00 if I can get my hands on some dimensions. Thanks for looking,Clinton

I like it, Clinton !! A lot. The waist looks really tight, different. Looks like you did a fine job.

I forgot the back
I wanted a tight waist from reading that it may had more definition in the tone sseeing that the lower back is 15 3/4" and I didn't want a boomy bottom, just a nice round one. I really like to share a mp3 with you all, I just can't get it to load.

Very nice execution with some original and very tasteful ideas. I particularly like the fingerboard end treatment- to my eyes it looks much better than having a couple of little frets up there.

Very nice no 2 Clinton, i really love the green line around the rosette and you peghead shape too, beautiful combo, i know what you mean with the sound, bet you have a very hard time puttin' her down huh?

That looks really nice. Nice and curvy - just how I like them. Lutz is a great tonewood isn't it.

You won't get an mp3 to upload. You have to have a website or server that hosts them and then post a link here to that. Sometimes your ISP provides hosting space or there are hosting services available reasonably cheaply.

Thanks everyone, it does a soul good to hear compliments from those that I respect and admire. Mike, I found the myrtle to bend quite nicely. I still bend on a pipe. I had more trouble planing the back seam. It wanted to "chip" on me, like it was a bit "stringy". I am very happy that it sounds so good. I thinned the braces down,changed to a maple bridge plate and used Shane's Lutz. Serge, you are right, I can't put it down, if I do, my son picks it up!
